As part of the second edition of the City of Lyon's Participatory Budget (BUPA), ERIS students will take part in a rather special event on Wednesday, May 21: a Singa “Blablavote” organized at Le Faitout place.
The BUPA allows citizens of Lyon to propose and vote for projects that will improve local life. This democratic, inclusive, and participatory approach is open to everyone.
With this in mind, Singa Blabla, an intercultural exchange space run by the Singa association, will be transformed into Blablavote for an afternoon.
The goal: to encourage exiled people to participate in civic life.
Accompanied by members of Singa, ERIS students will have the opportunity to learn how BUPA works, discuss the proposed projects, and, if they wish, vote for those that are important to them.
It's a great way to combine civic education, inclusive, and local engagement.
