Learn to Cook, Build a New Future

Cooking as a Springboard to Employment

At ERIS, the kitchen becomes more than a workplace, it’s a space where refugees build professional skills, restore confidence, and take the first steps toward a brighter future.

Finding work while in exile is a significant challenge. Without a professional network, recognized qualifications, or fluency in the local language, the path to employment is often filled with obstacles.

At ERIS, we use cooking as a powerful tool to break down these barriers. Through our restaurant and catering operations, participants gain hands-on experience in every aspect of the profession from maintaining hygiene standards to managing table service.

This practical training builds confidence, highlights individual talents, and opens the door to real job opportunities. Many of our former beneficiaries have gone on to secure positions in restaurants and bakeries, demonstrating that culinary skills can be a true catalyst for transformation.
