Making French accessible to build their autonomy
Without a command of French, finding housing, securing a job, or integrating into society becomes a major challenge.
That’s why ERIS offers intensive, accessible language training, tailored to the realities of exiled people giving them the tools they need to gain independence and rebuild their lives.
Language is the first barrier to overcome when building a new life. Yet in Lyon, as in many places, asylum seekers often have limited access to French courses that truly meet their needs.
ERIS bridges this gap by offering intensive, immersive language training where learning goes far beyond textbooks. Through role-playing, real-life interactions, and hands-on activities, language becomes a lived experience.
By empowering displaced people to express themselves, understand their environment, and take action, we help them regain agency in their daily lives and build a stronger path toward integration.
